Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the services of Metro Roofing, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.

2. Services Provided

Metro Roofing offers a variety of roofing and exterior services, including:

  • Residential and commercial roof installations
  • Roof repairs and maintenance
  • Roof inspections and assessments
  • Emergency roofing services
  • Shingle replacement
  • Flat roof systems
  • Eavestrough and gutter services
  • Roof ventilation solutions
  • Skylight installation and repair
  • Storm damage restoration
  • Warranty services and support

3. Payment Terms

Payment for services is due according to the agreed-upon schedule as outlined in your service agreement or contract. We accept e-transfer, credit card, cash, and cheque. Deposit payments may be required in advance for larger projects. Final payment is typically due upon project completion and client approval. Late payment fees may apply as outlined in your service agreement.

4. Project Scope and Changes

The scope of work will be clearly defined in your written estimate or contract. Any changes to the project scope, materials, or timeline must be approved in writing and may result in adjusted pricing. We reserve the right to suspend work if additional structural issues or safety concerns are discovered until they are addressed.

5. Property Access and Safety

By engaging our services, you agree to:

  • Provide safe and reasonable access to the work area
  • Clear the work area of vehicles, outdoor furniture, and other items that may interfere with the project
  • Secure pets during work hours
  • Inform us of any property hazards or special considerations
  • Allow reasonable noise and disruption during standard business hours

Metro Roofing takes all necessary safety precautions during project execution. We are not responsible for pre-existing property damage or issues not disclosed prior to project commencement.

6. Limitation of Liability

Metro Roofing shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of or in connection with our services, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our liability shall be limited to the amount paid for the services. This includes but is not limited to:

  • Delays caused by weather conditions or material availability
  • Pre-existing structural issues not visible during initial inspection
  • Damage resulting from Acts of God or unforeseen circumstances
  • Third-party contractor delays or performance issues

7. Warranty Terms

Workmanship warranties are provided as outlined in your service agreement. Manufacturer warranties on materials are passed through to the client. Warranty coverage does not include damage caused by:

  • Weather events beyond normal wear and tear
  • Improper maintenance
  • Modifications made by others
  • Normal aging and deterioration beyond warranty period

8. Cancellation and Scheduling Policy

  • Project cancellations must be made in writing
  • Cancellations after materials have been ordered may be subject to restocking fees and material costs
  • Deposits are non-refundable once work has been scheduled and materials ordered
  • We will make reasonable efforts to accommodate rescheduling requests due to weather or unforeseen circumstances
  • Client-requested delays may result in rescheduling fees

9. Client Responsibilities

Clients agree to:

  • Provide accurate information about property conditions and concerns
  • Obtain any necessary permits or approvals (unless otherwise agreed in writing)
  • Ensure payment is made according to the agreed schedule
  • Conduct a final walkthrough and inspection upon project completion
  • Report any concerns within the specified warranty period
  • Maintain reasonable access to the property during the project timeline

10. Governing Law

These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Ontario, Canada.
